The guys in the service department did exactly what they said they would do in the time while I waited.

The cost of an Oil Service on my wife's 220d 2 Series is shocking. £260! I drive a Porsche Macan and only paid £200 for an oil service. Really disappointed with this rip off in service cost
Again I will highlight David Gemmell. I would also include the parts Manager Callum Russell who was also very helpful when I bought additional winter wheels and tyres.

all the work I asked for was done, serviced, estimates for future work were all prepared, healthcheck was done with a video and car was very nicely cleaned, great service all round, can't fault it
Explanation not given as to why the diagnosis had changed
A problem arose immediately after the service as the Speed Warning system reset itself to 12mph every time the engine stopped - very annoying. Car booked in to fix in January. Price for 1st oil service was also more than anticipated.

Overall I can not complain about the standard of work that has been done it is like brand new the rear bumper but as detailed in question one there were a few areas where the standards slipped.

The only negative is that service report indicated a need for 2 new tyres - I took car to Kwik Fit who were surprised that dealership hadn't indicated one of tyres was illegal rather than just needing changed and I should not have driven car!!

Duncan Miller and Steven, the technician involved with the rattle/ squeak problem have been excellent. Steven showed extreme patience and dedication to try to resolve the noise issue which we thought he had done. Unfortunately it has returned thus 9.

Having arranged to pick up my new £70K X5 up on Monday 2/12, I was called to 15 mns before leaving house car had not arrived. Was advised to come next day...I said I would only come if I new car had arrived so asked this was confirmed for the Tuesday
David is evidently very knowledgeable on BMW and the products he offers. His manner and customer service was excellent. I love the X3 and This experience has confirmed that I will be back to BMW for my next car.

At the start of the process it was a relatively pleasant experience. However I sold my car when i was given a date for collection of my new vehicle. However on arriving at the garage was told it was a manual and not the Automatic i had ordered.
The team at Douglas park were very respectful and non-invasive. They allowed me time to browse the range of vehicles and were very relaxed in their approach to sales which is refreshing. The information provided was concise and available on request.
I'd recommend the car (X2) don't think I'd recommend waiting all the months I waited on it (I ordered it 21st July never received the car until 1st nov) if I hadn't paid a deposit I would've went and purchased another car somewhere else
